Purple Navigation Button

Step one:

Start with a large black canvas. Make a new layer set titled Purple Navigation Tab.
Choose the rounded rectangle tool and set the radius setting to 20px with anti-aliased checked.
In a new layer draw a #5B0075 round rectangle using the rounded rectangle tool. (width: 127 x height: 130)
Add the following layer styles: Gradient Overlay, Stroke.

Step two:

In a new layer draw a white eclipse using the eclipse tool. (width: 12 x height: 26)
Add the following layer styles: Inner Glow, Gradient Overlay, Stroke.
Set the layer’s blending mode to Darken.

Step three:

Duplicate the eclipse structure and position on the opposite side of the tab.

Step four:

Now add your first navigation link using font Verdana, bold, 12pt, smooth and #C777D8.
Add the following layer styles: Gradient Overlay.

Step five:

Now choose the polygon tool and set sides to 3 and anti-aliased checked.
In a new layer draw a #18326F. polygon. (width: 78 x height: 78)
Add the following layer styles: Inner Shadow, Inner Glow, Pattern Overlay, Gradient Overlay, Stroke.

Step six:

Add the rest of your navigation links with its own tab.
